2026 SOCKS Undergraduate Intern Symposium

The 2026 SOCKS undergraduate summer intern cohort concluded their program with an exciting symposium sharing their research projects on July 23 and 24, 2026 on the University of Vermont (UVM) campus. Each of the eleven undergraduate interns presented their summer research to peers, faculty advisors, and staff over the two-day event.

Vermont EPSCoR Teams Up with GIV for 2026 Summer Institutes

Vermont EPSCoR teamed up with the Governor's Institutes of Vermont (GIV) to provide a great summer camp experience for high school students. GIV hosted two institutes in June 2026 that gave 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from across Vermont a chance to strengthen their STEM skills.

 

Dr. Danbee Kim Presents Neuroscience Primer Workshop to Summer Interns

Vermont EPSCoR's summer intern program enjoyed a lesson from guest speaker Danbee "Tauntaun" Kim, PhD, a teacher at the Appalachian Institute for Creative Learning and soon-to-be visiting teaching assistant professor in the biology department at University of Denver. Dr. Kim presented a Neuroscience Primer Workshop to SOCKS undergraduate interns.

Dr. Matthew Price Receives Provost's Award for Excellence
