Plot-plotter for measuring how real and fictional narratives unfold over time through temporal networks
We quantify the plot of a story, real or fictional, as an evolving temporal network with nodes being characters, places, events, and edges forming the temporal interaction network linking these nodes together. Using ambient ousiometric analyses with appropriate time scales, we propose to extract ambient meaning timelines of “temporal plot networks.”
