Four SOCKS Health Team Undergraduate Research Assistants, Nabil Balach, Ian Bhatia, Suzannah Buehler, and Maggie Demeo-Meres presented a poster at the National Undergraduate Research Conference at Brown University in April 2025.
This National Undergraduate Research Conference featured posters and presentations from undergraduate students from across the country, showcasing research in basic science, translational and clinical research, public health, and other health-related fields. The one-day event brought together over 200 students representing nearly 30 states and more than 115 universities and institutions.

The four SOCKS research assistants attended on behalf of the Vermont Conversation Lab at the Larner College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. "Participating in this conference and connecting with fellow researchers from across the country reaffirmed how fortunate we are to be part of such a collaborative and interdisciplinary team," said the group in a statement after the conference. "Our lab's well-established collaborative nature and shared commitment to meaningful research have added significant depth to all of our undergraduate experiences. We have all learned so much while being a part of this lab, and we hope this work can keep being pursued in the future."
